Cronin was viewed three times over the course of the season and impressed each time out. He is not the best skater and doesn't handle the puck as well as we'd like to see but he certainly can stop it. Had some huge games for the Eagles as they found their way back to the Super 8. He held opponents to a goal or less 12 times over the season including two shutouts in the Super 8 tourney. Also played Malden Catholic to a 3-3 tie. Just a sophomore and has a lot of room to grow and options ahead (prep, junior, etc)
2. Donald Hesse - St. Mary's High -
Hesse has had a stellar career at St. Mary's and backstopped the team to a Super 8 this season. He is on the small size but battles for every puck. Finished with a 1.92 Goals Against and played brilliantly in a 3-2 loss to Malden Catholic. Senior projects as a Junior B or Prep starter next season.
3. Kyle Moran - Marshfield -
Moran showed tremendous poise in a 4-1 win over Cathedral High in the State Semifinal and then again in a 3-2 Championship win at the Garden against Wakefield. Had a win and a tie over Xaverian and a tie against Hingham during the season and gave up only 6 goals over five playoff games. Senior projects as a Junior B or lower prep starter next season.
4. Connor Burdick - St. John's Shrewsbury
Burdick was a captain for this year's team and played the role well. Size will hurt him making the jump to the next level but does project as a Junior B goalie for next season.
5. Kyle Williams - Central Catholic-
The junior netminder spearheaded the Raiders’ run to the Super Eight. With Williams carrying a bulk of the load, Central Catholic surrendered just 43 goals this season while posting a goal differential of +45. He was also a driving force behind the Raiders’ Super Eight run and turned in a strong performance in a near upset bid against Malden Catholic.
