Joe Exter is leaving his post at USA Hockey to serve as the goaltending coach for Ohio State. It will be Exter's second stint (by our count) with a college program as he served as an assistant at American International College after his brief pro career. Story here
USA Hockey has yet to post the job description for his replacement but there would seem to be no shortage of candidates with the proliferation of goalie gurus out there.

WHO ARE THE EXPERTS?
Why do we do this? Aren't there enough goalie experts out there? Well....no. The Central Scouting Bureau for the NHL has a Goalie Checklist. Right there on the front page it asks if the goalie "consistently squares to the puck carrier." Really? How about squaring to the puck?
